Fair Trade Tourism

Elgin Africa is a proud member of the Fair Trade Tourism (FTT). FTT is a non-profit organisation promoting best-practice responsible tourism in Africa. They grow awareness about responsible tourism in Africa and assist tourism businesses to operate more sustainably through their membership and certification programmes. Their membership programme supports organisations who are committed to working towards best practice.

Southern Africa Tourism Services Association

Elgin Africa is a proud member of the South African Tourism Services Association (SATSA). South African Youth Travel Association

Elgin Africa is a proud member of the South African Youth Travel Association (SAYTC). SAYTC is a non-profit trade organisation representing the youth tourism industry.Their mission is: to market South Africa globally as a preferred youth tourism destination and to establish a professional youth tourism industry based upon accreditation and guidelines.

Elgin Africa owner, Deborah Kleynhans, is a member of Skål in a personal capacity. Skål is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Its members, the industry’s managers and executives, meet at local, national, regional and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest.
